Recording Artist ZekeDon Signs Brand Ambassador Deal with The Dutch Pot Restaurant.
The Dutch Pot Jamaican Restaurant revealed ZekeDon, Jamaican-American recording artist, as their new brand ambassador. Owners of Dutch Pot, Cherry Marshall and Melanie Gregory both recognized the positive direction of ZekeDon’s career and decided to join forces with the artist for their new campaign. The Dutch Pot Jamaican Restaurant® is the first of its kind, a South Florida based drive-thru Caribbean restaurant in the United States. The chain includes 6 locations, and continues to grow throughout the region. Broward New Times said, “Dutch Pot sets itself above the other Caribbean restaurants with stellar service, a loyal following, and food packed with as much flavor as your taste buds can handle.”As the newest Brand Ambassador for Dutch Pot, ZekeDon will appear in a variety of multimedia campaigns across all media types including digital, print, radio, in-store and social media. “We’re excited that ZekeDon will be representing the Dutch Pot brand. Our company has been a huge supporters of Zeke’s musical career,” said Marshall and Gregory. “ When we heard the song he wrote for us it instantly resonated with everyone in the office and right there we found the perfect song for our new campaign.”
ZekeDon starts off his role as Brand Ambassador with a series of photo shoots and adding the final touches to Dutch Pot’s new jingle, “My Pot,” produced by Reggae Pop Records in-house producer, JR Taxi. “One day I was putting in my order for a Dutch Pot mini-plate and I just started singing this melody that was stuck in my head. A couple days later I recorded it just for fun, and then I heard my team got it over to Dutch Pot,” said ZekeDon. “Now we’re here representing an innovative brand that provides great food and employment opportunities to countless families in our community.”
ZekeDon has been a staple in South Florida’s dancehall community for more than a decade. He knew that his passion for entertainment was over and above the turntables of Onkore Sounds, a popular Sound System he started with his brother and high school friends. Almost 3 years after stepping away from the Sound System arena, ZekeDon is on to his third mixtape, T.O.E Tag (Talent Over Everything), released May 2017. It is said to be some of his most diverse work. He’s currently scheduled to perform at this year’s NYC Labor Caribbean Parade on the VP Records Road Truck alongside Bunji Garlin, Fay-Ann Lyon, Ricardo Drue, and a host of others. Following that he will be performing at the Elite Music Festival on Sept. 17th in Ft. Lauderdale, FL with Mavado, Jahmiel, and Alkaline. There are no signs of ZekeDon slowing down, just forward movements and on to the next level of his career.
